General Information
Welcome to the Sharon Writing Invitational Year 2! Our Goal is to spread the love of writing by giving students the chance to let their minds roam and have their work published.
Submissions are open to any student in grades 6-12 in Sharon, Massachusetts.
Submit any short story under 1250 words. We accept personal narratives, flash fiction, nonfiction, and prose. We do not, however, accept essays or poetry. Exceptional work will be featured on the SMS Literary Journal if it meets the guidelines.
A committee of impartial judges will decide on the winners. Middle school writing will be assessed by grade (6th-grade writing won’t be compared to 8th-grade writing), and high school pieces will be assessed independently under one bracket.
Winners will have their work featured in the Euphony Literary Magazine and can choose from a selection of prizes (see below)
